For customers who need additional feedback and assurances for their tip dress process, we provide tip dressers powered with servo motors. These dressers are simple to setup and offer built in error diagnosis of the tip dress process to assist the user in optimizing their process. Tip dressers like the CD-SVR and CDEL offer valuable feedback, such as broken or worn cutters, disconnected tip dresser, late blade contact (if teaching is off). These dressers also track the amount of cuts on each individual cutter blade to alert the user when it’s time to exchange the blade. Additionally, tip dress parameters may be preconfigured into the robot and easily adjusted on-site via the robot pendant if additional fine-tuning is required. For tip changing, our pneumatic tip changer is a versatile and reliable choice.
A more complex servo option offers an advancement by combining tip changing and tip dressing functions into one system. This setup is powered by a single servo motor, providing the convenience of easy setup and the compactness of having both functions within the same gearbox.
