The TMN-01 is a camera inspection system used in the industrial robotic spot-welding environment. The camera detects inferior tip dresses and assists with quality control in the high-paced industrial welding environment. This system is instrumental for verifying high quality welds.

Tip Monitor Capabilities
The TMN-01’s camera can measure the diameter and reflectivity of a weld face. It uses these measurements to compare against user specified tolerances and outputs a pass/fail signal to the PLC. The software is able to catalog these measurements and output the data to a comprehensive report.
The tip monitor software can connect up to 50 cameras per computer system, recording weld face diameters, reflectivity measurements, images of weld faces, and the G/NG pass at the time of each measurement. Users may filter camera shots from specific robots and time ranges as needed.

Each camera is connected to a POE hub, which transmits data to the PC. The PC processes the images, and sends a pass/fail signal to the PLC. The camera system uses the compliance of the tip dresser and is equipped with a pneumatic shutter that protects the lens from debris when not in use.
The system outputs the last camera shot to a screen which may be placed in a visually accessible area for the maintenance technicians to easily inspect weld quality.
